In contrast, travelling by public transit is very hard in Val-Bélair. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by about 10 bus lines, and it is easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. Val-Bélair is not very conducive to those who travel by foot because very few common errands can be run without the use of a car. Getting around by bicycle is also sometimes difficult in this part of Québec as there are quite a few hills. Nevertheless, some bike-friendly areas can be found, and the cycling infrastructure is good.

Services

Daycares are easy to walk to from any location in Val-Bélair. In contrast, families may consider it difficult for their kids to access primary schools and high schools as pedestrians. As far as food is concerned, a portion of house buyers in this area may be able to reach the closest grocery store on foot, while others will need a vehicle.
