This city is an extremely good part of the Greater Estevan metropolitan area for driving. It is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway from anywhere in this city, and it is very convenient to park. It is difficult for people walking to get around in Estevan because many daily needs are impractical to meet on foot.

Getting to the closest supermarket by walking is an option for some, but not all, property owners in Estevan. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With respect to education, it is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools from anywhere in Estevan. In contrast, high schools are not particularly abundant and accordingly tend to require a long walk to get to.
