Driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of the city. Coming across a parking spot is generally easy, and the majority of homes for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Charest. The public transit system in Cité Universitaire is reasonably practical. For example, homeowners benefit from over 50 bus lines, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. Cycling is challenging in Cité Universitaire since there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not particularly extensive. Nonetheless, some bike-friendly pockets exist. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this neighbourhood, although carrying out daily needs is convenient on foot.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their home is situated in Cité Universitaire, primary schools and daycares are nearby. However, there are no high schools in this area. In terms of eating, it is convenient to get to the closest supermarket on foot from anywhere in Cité Universitaire. Furthermore, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of opportunities, and residents are served by a few cafes as well.

Character

There is an extensive selection of green spaces in Cité Universitaire. There are about 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy, like Jardin botanique Roger-Van den Hende, and they are especially well-distributed, which makes it easy to get to them. As there are few pedestrians, this part of the city is relatively quiet; however there can be more noise for those who are closer to Autoroute Charest, Autoroute Robert-Bourassa or the railway line.
