Transportation
The preferred mode of transportation in East Richmond is usually a car. The majority of properties for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 99, and it is especially convenient to find a parking spot. On the other hand, this area is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. It is impractical for pedestrians to move around in this neighbourhood because most day-to-day needs are inconvenient to meet by walking. This neighbourhood is also not very suited for bicycling as riding is made difficult by the often steep area, and there are very few bike lanes.
Services
Parents and their children may consider it challenging to get to high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Moreover, daycares are not especially abundant and therefore not always within walking distance. East Richmond is served by highly ranked elementary and secondary schools, such as Richmond Christian School. Regarding eating, some home buyers in East Richmond may be able to shop for their groceries by walking, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. A limited number of restaurants can be found in this part of the city as well.
Character
There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in East Richmond. There are around 20 parks close by for residents to check out, resulting in them being easy to access from a large number of locations in this neighbourhood. It remains relatively quiet in this neighbourhood, as there are very few pedestrians.
