Transportation
The car is usually the favoured approach to move around in this part of the Greater Victoria metropolitan area. Most real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Patricia Bay Highway, and it is very easy to park. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is difficult in Central Saanich. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. This part of the Greater Victoria metropolitan area is not very conducive to walking because very few day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.
Services
Families may find it challenging to get to high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Likewise, daycares are not especially numerous and thus not always within walking distance. With regards to food, a fraction of house buyers in this municipality may be able to travel to the nearest grocery store on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle.
