Walking is also quite practical for home buyers in this neighbourhood; most day-to-day needs are easy to carry out on foot. The public transit network in this area is rather poor. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by approximately 20 bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. In contrast, the favoured means of transportation in this part of the city is very often driving. Most properties for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute Laurentienne, and it is convenient to park.

Services

House buyers in Trait-Carré will value that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. Residents can enjoy around 10 restaurants and cafes as well. Furthermore, it is a rather short walk to a reasonable variety of clothing stores. Concerning education, primary schools and daycares are very easy to get to on foot from anywhere in Trait-Carré. In contrast, Trait-Carré does not have any high schools.

Character

Trait-Carré is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. Most areas in this part of the city are quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially around Autoroute Laurentienne. Finally, it is easy to reach green spaces from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are a few of them close by for residents to relax in.
