Tanya's strong work ethic was instilled in her from a young age, as she spent much of her childhood fishing and shelling lobster at her family's lobster pound in rural Nova Scotia. She was also involved in competitive sports such as gymnastics and long-distance running and now plays volleyball recreationally. After graduating from Dalhousie and the University of Maine, Tanya spent 10 years teaching junior high students, taught in Nunavut for 3 years, and taught English virtually to students in China. She also worked with friends who own over 200 rental properties, helping them find tradespeople, renters, and even some of the properties themselves. Her communication, organizational skills, creativity and enthusiasm have served her well and it's rare to see Tanya without a smile on her face. She has learned a lot about many different cultures, has a deep understanding of what people need and want, and always tries her best to help those around her. After purchasing a few homes of her own, Tanya became very interested in real estate and wanted to learn more and more about it. She would spend hours some days learning about real estate even before she started the real estate course, and has always been interested in trends, prices, renovations, and flips. Tanya believes that everyone deserves a house that feels like home. She is determined, dedicated, and committed to making the process of either listing or buying a home a positive and exciting experience for you. Tanya began her real estate career with Royal LePage Atlantic in 2021 and has been helping families achieve their real estate goals ever since. Tanya has won several sales achievement awards including Royal LePage's Red Diamond, Ruby, and Presidents Gold awards. She is also a proud sponsor of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and was recognized as the top donor in the HRM in 2023. When Tanya isn't working, you'll find her playing with her puppy, Sparky, enjoying a long walk at Point Pleasant Park while listening to 80s classics, cooking up a storm, or spending time by the ocean.
