Having grown up on Saltspring Island and making my first move to Cumberland, I value and understand small community living and the benefits that come along with this lifestyle. Having a family history on Vancouver Island dating back to the mid 1800’s, I always knew I wanted to stay on the island. Growing up on Saltspring Island I learned how small communities can foster and support group and individual creative endeavors and personal growth. I moved to Cumberland in 2007 and after completing my first investment project, I felt pulled back to ocean living and exciting beginnings in Port Alberni. These days I spend most of my time with my sweetheart driving through the Alberni Inlet on my way to catch fish with our dog, Cub. We spend time exploring the coast, finding private beaches and learning new ways to process, cook and store all the salmon we catch. When I’m not outdoors, I’m listening to vintage country records and learning new fiddle tunes. You might have even seen me at Vancouver Island Music Fest with my band, The Cumberland Brothers. After experiencing fifteen years of work and study in the construction industry, along with completing my own projects, I have learned first-hand about the sacrifice, work and emotional effort that is required in bringing your vision to reality. It’s also taught me that it’s possible. I want to make your buying, selling and building process smooth, supported and easeful beyond your expectations. I bought my first tear down in my early twenties with pockets full of ambition, and not much else. Over the next dozen years, I turned that project in to a multi-dwelling income design and one of Cumberland’s most valuable residential properties. Through that process, I learned the ins and outs of what it takes every step of the way from breaking ground, to selling and then reinvesting.
