Old East Village (OEV) is a historic neighbourhood in London, just east of Downtown; designated as an Ontario Heritage Conservation District in 2006 to recognize and protect its history and sense of place. With a mix of housing styles, mainly late 19th and early 20th century single detached homes, along with newer apartment buildings. There is a strong ‘front-porch’ culture throughout the Old East Village. The Western Fair Farmers and Artisans Market, open on Saturdays and Sundays, is a social feature of the neighbourhood.
