Byron is characterized by its small town feel and strong sense of community and is also home to Springbank Park, one of the city’s largest and most beloved parks, with scenic paths along the river, picnic areas, playgrounds, and Storybook Gardens, a small kids-oriented amusement park. Jorgenson Park is situated in the middle of the residential area and includes the Byron Optimist Community Centre, a wading pool, swimming pool, tennis courts, soccer field, baseball diamond and play structures. The Byron branch of the London Public Library is located along Commissioners Road.
