Transportation
Maple is a very good part of Vaughan for getting around by car. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway, such as Highway 400, from any location in this neighbourhood, and it is easy to park. On the other hand, public transit riders may experience limited options in Maple due to the low service level. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by approximately 10 bus lines, and it is especially convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Maple, although many daily needs can be met by walking. In contrast, the bike is a good means of transportation in Maple because the cycling infrastructure is reasonably good.
Services
Accessing one of about 10 grocery stores on foot is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in Maple. A limited variety of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. When it comes to education, parents and their kids will welcome the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood.
Character
The character of Maple is exemplified by its calm ambience. There are approximately 30 public green spaces close by for residents to relax in, such as Mackenzie Glen District Park and Vaughan Sports Village, and they are very well-distributed, which results in them being easy to get to from most locations in the neighbourhood. This area is also quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially closer to Highway 400 or one of the railway lines.
