West Rouge is a fairly convenient part of Toronto for getting around by public transit. More precisely, train stations, including the Rouge Hill Station on the Lakeshore East Line, are typically relatively close by from the bulk of properties in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. However, this part of Toronto is not very appropriate for cycling as the bicycling network is not very extensive, and riding is made strenuous by the typically hilly topography. West Rouge is not especially suitable for walking as daily errands are sometimes challenging to run without needing to use a vehicle. On the other hand, moving around by car is especially convenient in this area. It is straightforward to park, and many real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401.
