Transportation

Port Union is a fairly convenient part of Toronto for getting around by public transit as a consequence of a few nearby bus lines. In contrast, Port Union is not especially bicycling-friendly as riding is made difficult by the typically hilly area, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. Travelling on foot is not particularly convenient for residents in this area because running common errands is occasionally challenging by walking. However, cars are a great medium of transportation in this part of Toronto. It is a reasonably short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, from anywhere in Port Union, and accessing a place to park is easy.

Services

Both primary and secondary schools are convenient to get to on foot from most homes for sale in Port Union. On the other hand, there are only a few daycares and therefore they can be a long walk away. In terms of food, it is convenient to access the closest supermarket by walking from most properties for sale in Port Union. A small selection of restaurants and coffee shops is available as well.

Character

Port Union offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. There is a fair amount of greenery in this neighbourhood; green spaces, including Lower Highland Creek and East Point Park, are especially well-located and there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to discover, making it very easy to access them. In addition, residents will find that a large number of streets have reasonably good tree coverage. This part of Toronto is also good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near the railway line or Highway 401.
