Transportation
Cars are a great transportation option in North Gower. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. However, the public transit network in this part of Ottawa is not very accessible. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines. It is very inconvenient for pedestrians to get around in North Gower as meeting daily needs is very inconvenient by walking. Biking is also challenging in this part of Ottawa since the cycling network is not very well-developed, and the topography is not particularly flat.
Services
It can be very difficult to walk to high schools and primary schools from houses for sale in this neighbourhood. Additionally, it can be very hard to reach daycares as a pedestrian. As far as eating is concerned, home buyers in North Gower almost always have to use a vehicle to do grocery shopping.
Character
North Gower is reasonably quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Highway 416. Green spaces are distributed sporadically, resulting in them being rather difficult to get to from most locations in this neighbourhood. Still, there are around 10 parks nearby for residents to relax in, like Alfred Taylor Recreation Facility and Kars Recreation Centre.
