This neighbourhood is an extremely good part of District of North Vancouver for travelling by car. Parking is easy, and most houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, travelling by transit can be at times challenging in this part of the municipality due to the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. This part of the municipality is not particularly conducive to walking because few day-to-day errands can be run on foot. This neighbourhood is also not very bike-friendly as cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not very extensive.

Moreover, a cafe is commonly just around the corner, and a small selection of restaurants is available in this part of the municipality as well. Parks are very well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit, resulting in them being very easy to reach from a lot of locations in Maplewood. As there are very few people out and about on the streets, this area is relatively quiet.
