It is convenient to come across a place to park, and it is a very short car ride to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from anywhere in Lions Gate. However, Lions Gate is not particularly transit friendly. Nonetheless, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties.

Most areas in this part of District of North Vancouver are quiet, as the streets are generally peaceful - however noise can be problematic around Trans-Canada Highway.
