Most houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are reasonably conducive to those who travel by foot; many daily errands can be run without the use of a car, and plenty of businesses are nearby. In contrast, this area is not especially suited for biking as the bicycling network is rather limited, and bicycling is made arduous by the typically steep terrain. Cars are a reasonably good transportation option in this neighbourhood. It is easy to come across a parking spot. In contrast, travelling by transit can be at times challenging in Douglas as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are typically nearby.
Services
It is a rather short walk to get to daycares and schools from most homes for sale in this area. Regarding food, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in this part of the city. In addition, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. A decent variety of clothing stores is also situated within a reasonably short walking distance.
Character
There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Douglas, as well as some areas with a vibrant ambience. Getting to parks is very easy in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to visit. This neighbourhood is relatively quiet, as there are few pedestrians, although noise levels are higher closer to the railway line.
