Chilliwack is a city located within British Columbia, Canada.


Most dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Chilliwack, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This city has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About three quarters of the units in the city are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. This city did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new dwellings in this city was spread throughout multiple decades in recent history.


Moving around by car is especially convenient in Chilliwack. It is very easy to park. In contrast, the public transit network in Chilliwack is quite poor. Thankfully, house owners are served by around 10 bus lines. Travelling on foot is not very practical for home buyers in Chilliwack as very few common errands can be run without the use of a car.


High schools and primary schools are not particularly numerous in Chilliwack, and therefore not always within walking distance. Likewise, it can be difficult to walk to daycares from houses for sale in Chilliwack. Besides public schools, there are private primary and high schools. With respect to food, a portion of home buyers in Chilliwack may be able to travel to one of over 50 supermarkets on foot, while others will have to rely on a vehicle. There are also a few opportunities for those who care about nearby restaurants.


Chilliwack is quiet overall, as the streets are generally reasonably calm - although there are still several louder sections, especially close to the airport (YCW), Trans-Canada Highway or one of the railway lines. Parks are very difficult to reach since they aren't well-distributed. Still, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to check out.
