I love my work. Being a realtor is exciting, rewarding and full of surprises. I work hard to stay one step ahead in the market and get my clients what they want. I especially enjoy working with clients that I meet through referral. To know I've helped someone successfully sell or buy and that they then took the time to recommend me to their friends, family and colleagues gives me a great buzz. Outside of work, I spend lots of time having fun with my husband and two kids. I'm also very involved with Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities where I volunteer to help with their Meals on Wheels program and support their food bank with donations. I also support the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, an amazing initiative that helps women and children flee from violence. It's so good to know I'm giving back to the community in my spare time. QUICK-FIRE Q&A WITH ERIN Why did you choose a career in real estate? I grew up in the real estate industry with my mom being a realtor. Real estate is a people business and when people trust me to help them with one of the biggest life decisions I want to do the best job I can for them. What do you enjoy the most about your work? Guiding people through the process of buying and selling, helping them achieve their dreams. Seeing the look on their faces when we get the house! What are the biggest challenges? Sometimes it's a challenge fitting everything in! Thankfully we have an amazing team that I can count on! What's your favourite neighborhood in the region? Being born and raised in Scarborough I have to say that is my favourite. I think it's underrated and we have so much to offer! Close to downtown, the bluffs, waterfront trails, any food you could wish for, amazing communities, the list goes on! What one piece of advice would you give to a buyer? Keep an open mind - as much as possible - and trust that if one doesn't work out another will, your home is out there. What one piece of advice would you give to a seller? Make sure the realtor you choose is honest, not just telling you what you'd like to hear and that it's a good fit from the beginning. Communication is key and makes for a smooth transaction.
