Professional Experience
I started my career casually working with my father who had been into real estate even before I was born. My first transaction was a residential lease that I concluded at the age of 18, after finished school. It got me hooked to real estate that even after studying finance in the United Kingdom and having an offer from Ernst & Young, I returned to India to work in real estate. I joined Cushman & Wakefield after a short stint within the family business. In 2009 after the global market recession, I took upon an assignment to renegotiate 168 leases for a large coffee chain operating pan-India. When most real estate companies had a negative bottom line, we did one of our best. During my pan-India role at Jones Lang Lasalle, I was responsible for scouting opportunities for cinema operators and hypermarkets across the nation. I have always loved the idea of meeting new people, trying new experiences, and solving new problems. Perhaps, this is why I have been associated with real estate and have travelled to over 12 countries meeting new people and learning from conscious listening. This is also why I had moved to Canada having a well-settled life in Dubai. While working with leaders of the industry and some accomplished brands, I got to hone my business development skills as well as negotiation skills with C-level leaders. Residential real estate came naturally to me as I have been an investor myself and for my family for some time now. While handling commercial assets, I got to sharpen my ability to partner with organizations - both large & small while developing a good understanding of diversity and motivations for people with various backgrounds. I am confident that I would outperform all challenges that come along while doing what I love doing.
