Professional Experience
Jennifer Caruk began her real estate career in 1993 and joined Derek and his wife, Laurie when they opened the first MinCom brokerage that same year. Starting as a receptionist, Jennifer’s skill set was quickly noticed and she was promoted to Derek’s full-time assistant. From here, Jennifer continued to grow and learn working alongside Derek. In 1999, as Derek’s business had grown exponentially, Jennifer became a licensed sales representative and expanded her role, working alongside Derek in the field. In 2007, Jennifer became the Broker of Record for Derek and Laurie's office. Over the years, Jennifer has become extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of residential real estate. Having worked for several different builders, Jennifer is well versed in new construction as well as resale real estate. Jennifer’s commitment to Derek, his team and their clients along with her experience and knowledge are an invaluable asset. Jennifer is a lifelong resident of Durham Region, growing up in Oshawa and currently resides in Courtice with her husband Shawn and son, Bryce. Jennifer spends most of her spare time at the rink cheering on her son’s hockey team.
