Professional Experience
At the age of 22, Leah embarked on a unique journey, purchasing her first home—a 150-year-old fixer-upper—while pursuing a degree in Financial Services at NSCC Kingstec. As her financial knowledge expanded, so did her determination to break free from the cycle of renting and to start creating her own assets. Turning the historic space into a charming family farmhouse sparked Leah's passion for real estate. During that time, Leah married her husband, Tim, and welcomed their daughter into the world. Taking a temporary hiatus from finance, she worked as a CCA at Valley Regional Hospital, balancing her professional life with the responsibilities of being a stay-at-home mom. Meanwhile, Leah dedicated significant efforts to the ongoing renovation of their house, solidifying her connection to the real estate world. Now, with the house successfully sold and her daughter beginning school, Leah is eager to channel her accumulated passion and experience into serving her clients. Having a distinctive perspective from her financial background at major financial institutions, Leah understands the pivotal role a house plays in growing one's net worth. Her primary goal is to position her clients for success by sharing her expertise in home equity lending and finance, thereby simplifying the home buying process. Hailing from Middleton and residing in Centreville on the family apple farm, Leah intimately knows the ins and outs of life in the Valley. Beyond her professional pursuits, Leah is a dynamic individual. When not immersed in work, she can be found volunteering at her daughter's school, navigating local trails, enjoying rounds of golf, or planning the next family snowboarding adventure to the mountains. If you can't find her doing any of those things, Leah might be exploring the Valley's exquisite restaurants or wineries. Leah's list of accomplishments is impressive, including her role as an acute care CCA on the Surgical Unit of Valley Regional Hospital, earning the NSCC Leadership Award in the Continuing Care Program in 2018, and securing the second place at the CIFP Case Challenge in 2013 during her time at NSCC Kingstec. Notably, while at RBC, Leah partnered with a colleague for the RBC Community Together Program, organizing over a dozen volunteer opportunities and contributing over $20,000 in grant money to the community. In addition to her professional achievements, Leah embraces a lifestyle rich in experiences. She completed her first 10K run at the Valley Harvest Marathon this year, ventured into her first 10K Trail Run, and holds certification as a Yoga Instructor, having taught classes throughout the Valley, including Parent & Baby sessions for the Town of Kentville and Hot Power Yoga for beginners. Leah cherishes quality time spent snowboarding with her daughter in the winter and indulges in summer retreats at cottages across the province.
