Professional Experience

I grew up living off the land in a small community in Northern British Columbia where I learned the value of a hard days work and where I gained a huge appreciation for small town living and the importance of getting to know your neighbours. After obtaining my Commercial Pilot licence at the age of 21, I went on to explore the world on numerous adventures including marrying my husband in a tiny village near Mt.Everest, Nepal. I came back from traveling with an even larger zest for the outdoors and immersed myself in numerous technical courses that would one day help me to pursue a career as an Outdoor Adventure Guide. Working as a Guide, throughout the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver Island and the Sea to Sky Corridor, is what ultimately led me to discover Squamish in 2001 while leading a multi-day adventure trips in the area with my co-guide, and husband, Buzz. Seeing all that Squamish had to offer we knew immediately that this was the place we would call home. Over the years I have immersed myself in all that Squamish has to offer: From the world class outdoor recreation activities and the numerous community events to the many volunteer opportunities and, of course, the truly wonderful people that live here. I have many years of experience volunteering for ‘Emergency Services’ such as Nelson Search & Rescue and the Squamish Red Cross Disaster Management Team. I have also served as a Volunteer Firefighter and as a Professional Firefighter. I am well respected in the business community in Squamish. I spent a number of years on the Squamish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, as well as, held the role as President. I enjoy being involved in a vast networking community in Squamish and the Lower Mainland. I have offered my expertise as a business consultant to new and growing businesses in the area. I have sat on the Board of Variance with the District of Squamish, was asked to sit on one of the District of Squamish Bylaw Committees and find great satisfaction in being active and participating with their many open forums for discussion on potential growth and change in the area. In the past, I have facilitated and held meetings on heated topics such as, dubbed “Oceanfront 101” and “Garibaldi at Squamish 101.” Keeping my finger on the pulse of Squamish is integral to my success and yours. In my industry they say the “cream rises to the top.” I have been in Real Estate since 2006 and for years I have been known in my community as an experienced, highly successful, honest, and reliable Realtor. I do so by being well informed on the area, the market and the most current marketing tools. My attention to detail and work ethic are top notch. Most importantly, you will find that I am easy going and of good character, I keep my ego in check. First and foremost, I want to ensure the buying and selling process goes as smoothly as possible for you and that your goals are met. My family is very important to me. I have a fantastic husband and a Lakeland Terrier named Max! My husband, Buzz, has been at my side since 1999. We have guided clients to the top of peaks together, we have travelled the world together, we have sat side by side on the big red fire engine (he is also a Firefighter) and we have an exciting ‘bucket list’ that we continue to strive towards. Our goals are lofty and our list of ‘things to do’ is long but we have the perfect basecamp to achieve our healthy, happy lifestyle. After having travelled the world over I am confident that, with its friendly people and countless lifestyle and business opportunities, there is no better place in the world to call home than Squamish.
