Professional Experience
I started my career in the late 90's working for a Commercial Property Management Company, moved to the City of Halifax's Real Estate Department and then Royal LePage Commercial in Halifax where I obtained my licensed. I decided to give up my real estate career when my husband, whom was in the military, got posted to Ontario back in 2005 and than 8 months later we were posted to Edmonton. After we arrived in Edmonton, I decided to further my Property Management skill set and I obtained experience managing Single Family Homes, Multi-Residential Homes and Condominiums. During my Property Management career, I gained extensive knowledge on a wide range of tasks including day-to-day and preventative maintenance, contract negotiations, facilitation and overseeing multi-million dollar repair projects. I believe that due to my specialized knowledge and training, I am able to guide my clients through a home/condominium purchase with extensive education and direction. As mentioned, I relocated with my family to Edmonton in 2006 when my husband was posted with the military to CFB Edmonton. Being “married” to the military, I love working with other military families and understand the pressures and stress of buying/selling a home within a very short time frame. (Yes, I am registered with Brookfield Global Relocation Services Program). To give back to my fellow military families, I give an annual donation to CanPraxis, a national organization based here in Alberta that offers equine therapy to military, first responders and health care workers (and their families) that are suffering from an OSI/PTSD due to trauma experienced within their line of work. It is an organization that is near and dear to my heart and being an alumni member from the program, I understand the importance of it.
