Transportation
Driving is a very good means of transportation in Surrey. Parking is generally easy. In contrast, the public transit system in Surrey is not very accessible. Nevertheless, there are many rapid transit stations on the Expo Skytrain. Residents have access to over 50 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. Commuting by bicycle is occasionally difficult in Surrey because there is a significant amount of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this city, although running common errands is easy.
Services
A fraction of home buyers in this city may have the option to purchase groceries by walking in one of over 150 stores, while others will have to use another means of transportation. Residents are served by over 900 restaurants and cafes as well. Concerning education, it is a rather short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from any location in Surrey. On the other hand, parents and their children may consider it difficult to access high schools as a pedestrian. There are some of the province's top schools, including Relevant High School and Southridge School, in Surrey.
Character
Surrey offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area is reasonably good for those who like quiet surroundings, as the streets tend to be quite peaceful. Finally, parks are very well-located and there are over 900 of them nearby for residents to explore, which makes them easy to get to.
